Main responsibilities: Shadow a student, in a one on one basis, collecting data, supporting behavior interventions, and supporting the student in the classroom.
Assist a student in meeting the goals and objectives outlined in their individual education plan.
Collaborate closely with teachers and the Elementary team to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Help the student cope with emotional and behavioral challenges, promoting the development of social-emotional skills.
Provide consistent guidance and encouragement to help the student succeed in the classroom, promoting student independence and development of healthy peer relationships.
Help the student follow the teacher's instructions and maintain focus on activities.
Requirements: Degree in Psychology or related field (completed or in progress).
Bilingual (Fluent Portuguese and English) with strong communication skills.
Experience working with elementary-aged students.
Punctual, responsible, and flexible.
A team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
Identify with the school's vision, mission, and values.
Work Schedule:  44 hours per week; Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Occasional Saturday work required to support institutional events.
