What you will do The Logistics Development Engineer works cross-functionally to design, visualize, and optimize the transport network between Parts Distribution Centers and dealers. Focus is to achieve the optimal balance between service, cost, and environmental aspects.
Main activities include: Driving the design and development of the outbound transport network in Latin and South America, ensuring an optimized network based on cost, service, and environmental aspects Developing and maintaining digital solutions to visualize the transport network, in order to support analytical, management, and development activities Securing SML deliveries in Logistics Purchasing sourcing projects, where transport is contracted Leading or participating in process development initiatives to drive performance improvement in the transport network Supporting other SML functions with logistics and transport expertise Who you are Have demonstrated ability to secure and analyze data, draw conclusions, and present recommendations to main stakeholders and decision makers Possess high level of knowledge and expertise in logistics and transportation Interested in and able to succeed in a position with remote management and a significant amount of cross-functional work Advanced knowledge and experience in PowerBi. Some experience, with willingness to grow, in Python and SQL Holistic view and end-to-end mindset Committed to "4 job thinking": perform my job, improve my job, develop myself, help develop my team Demonstrate basic knowledge of project management principles and ways of working Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English, Spanish a plus Achieved university degree in supply chain and logistics management Occasional travel required, including some international travel
