Pet-friendly office.Some activities you would do on a typical day at Cheesecake Labs Team Leadership : Manage and mentor engineers, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development.Collaborate with P&C to align career progression with company growth.
Address team challenges, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative culture.Resource Allocation : Oversee squad composition and adjust resources to meet client/project needs.Balance client demands and team interests while supporting business pipeline planning.Technical Excellence : Define and implement engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices.Support reusable starter kits, monitor project technical patterns, and drive quality improvements.Stay up-to-date on trends, sharing insights to strengthen the team's capabilities.Strategic Contributions : Align engineering initiatives with company strategy and growth objectives.Collaborate with leadership to optimize processes, scale operations, and enhance service quality.Contribute to thought leadership through external content and collaboration with Marketing.Operational Efficiency : Track engineering metrics and identify areas for improvement.Lead process enhancements, monitor workflows, and ensure delivery consistency.In order to succeed, you'll need the following skills: Technical Expertise: 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on clean code practices, design patterns, and scalable software architecture.Proven ability to implement and maintain industry best practices in software development.Up-to-date knowledge of the latest tools, frameworks, and technologies in the software development industry.Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience leading and managing technology teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers, promoting growth and technical excellence within the team.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience aligning cross-functional teams toward common objectives and facilitating clear communication across departments.Strategic Thinking: Ability to align engineering initiatives with the company's strategic goals, ensuring technical efforts contribute to overall business growth.Deep understanding of business operations, service lifecycles, and cross-departmental collaboration.Time Management and Prioritization: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively, ensuring deadlines and strategic objectives are met.Strong organizational skills to maintain focus on impactful tasks and initiatives.Applicants must have a Brazilian bank account, be legally allowed to provide services to a Brazilian entity and willingness to receive in Brazilian local currency (Real R$).IMPORTANT TIP: The communication during the selection process is done by email.
