Job Description
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Environment Officer is responsible for implementing the company's environmental policy.
Missions: Monitoring maritime regulations concerning environmental protection and supervising their application.Staying informed on new technologies and practices that can measure and reduce the impact of ships on the environment and marine ecosystems.Providing operational recommendations in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.Duties and Responsibilities: Defining and implementing the tools and indicators needed to understand and control environmental impacts.Monitoring the various labels and charters that the company is entitled to.Preparing applications for sustainable tourism and cruising labels and programs.Defining and monitoring ship operating protocols for the protection of the environment, the seabed, and wildlife.Promoting understanding of environmental and political issues among employees and partners. Qualifications
International background or experience in environmental impact measurement and mitigation solutions.Knowledge of project management engineering.Knowledge of maritime and environmental regulations.Knowledge of the navy or boating industry.Understanding of a company's strategic issues.Ability to carry out projects and surveys independently.Fluent in English (written and spoken).
