Role Summary:
Contribute to the development, planning and control of operations and research performed in the Madeira Quality Laboratory, generating reports of operational and managerial controls as well as supporting and management of production indicators.

**Responsibilities**:

In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities: - Propose improvements and / or development of new processes and products;
- Perform laboratory technician management, based on the elaboration of an activity schedule for the development of wood density activities, NIR readings (Near Infra Red) and sending samples for analysis at the industrial unit (research and operational);
- Perform research on NIR multivariate calibration models, meeting the company's business plan;
- Address the area of Genetic Improvement, providing information from the use of NIR technique and data analysis, for identification and mapping of genetic materials with wood quality characteristics for soluble cellulose;
- Develop and propose solutions to improve quality, reduce production costs, increase productivity and develop new technologies and innovation through the use of appropriate methodologies.

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications: - A degree in the related job field. - At least 3 to 5 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role. - Willing to relocate to the job location.
