Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint an experienced paralegal, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Casualty Injury Team. This role involves working with a partner and Team Manager assisting on complex high value employers and public liability claims with a value predominantly over £250k. There will also be an opportunity for the candidate to run their own caseload of cases with a value of up to £100k if they wish.
Our National team, whose clients are a mix of leading names in the insurance industry as well as household name corporates, deals with all aspects of defendant litigation, including catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, motor, casualty, disease, product, professional negligence, and health and safety. Increasingly, the team is getting involved in pre-emptive advice on these issues as well as dispute resolution.

What you will do

Assist with the running of complex claims to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion.
Effectively manage own modest caseload (if desired) to ensure deadlines are met.
Ensure work meets clients' needs, firm commercial requirements, and quality standards.
Adhere to internal and client SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
Achieve agreed financial targets.
Ensure prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements.
Provide accurate MI promptly.
Support a clear case strategy ensuring smooth case management.
Apply appropriate technical expertise and case law.
Manage risk and compliance issues, escalating problems to the Supervisor.
Engage with clients to build rapport and act as an ambassador for the firm.
Contribute to Business Development and client relationship activities as needed.
Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training and relevant publications.
Who you are

0-5 years' experience in a similar role.
Experience in Multi Track or Fast Track Claims.
EL/PL Experience.
High level of compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
Good legal knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
Strong organization skills, able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Commercial perspective on legal issues with strong written and oral communication skills.
Confident negotiator.
Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
Team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge and support team members.
Alignment with the Firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined, Supportive).
