The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).THE OPPORTUNITYIIE Varsity College, Westville campus is seeking appointees in the field of Commerce to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Management Studies.JOB PURPOSEThe primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Lecturing/FacilitationMarkingStudent supportCompetencies Required:Communications skillsOrganisational skillsTime managementMinimum Education Requirements per module:Ideal:Honours in Supply chain/logistics management; Business Management with a special focus in the following: Logistics; Operations and Production Management; warehousing; Integrated Logistics and Transport ManagementAlternatively:Honours in one of the Supply Chain/Logistics Management-related fields (e.g. purchasing, operations/ production, inventory; sustainable management, warehousing) with Supply Chain Management and Logistics to the third-year level; or A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration with Supply chain/logistics management or a similarly related field (e.g. purchasing, operations/ production, inventory; sustainable management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA/MCom/MPhil; or A postgraduate diploma in supply chain management and/or Logistics.Minimum Work Experience Requirements:Lecturing experience in supply chain and/or logistics management; and/or operations and production management/ Transportation and warehousing management.Work experience as a supply chain manager or consultant/ experience in logistics, warehousing, purchasing, production and operations and/or inventory fields.Working Conditions:This is an Independent Contractor role.Owing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
