Lead the development and implementation of an integrated Government Affairs strategy for PMI in Brazil, in order to obtain regulatory stability and predictability, and level the playing field for business growth in both commercial and operations areas of the business. Monitor the political environment, anticipate legal and political changes, develop regulatory submissions reflecting PMI's positions on issues relevant to the business environment of the company and develop, maintain relationship with stakeholders including but limited to government officials, regulators, media, business associations and NGO's. Partner with business functions and liaise regularly with them when developing and executing on EA strategies.

**Your 'day to day'**:
Be fully familiar with and understand the background of the tobacco regulatory framework in Brazil in order to develop regulatory and political strategies. Monitor and study the activities of the regulators and other stakeholders on industry issues, such that PMI remains informed of significant happenings and thinking, and in order to be able to pre-empt future legislative or regulatory action by providing information and through other influence strategies. Provide expertise, knowledge and advice to affiliate management on current and emerging political/regulatory issues and the evolution of societal expectations, especially as pertains to new and emerging products in the PMI portfolio, in order to increase understanding on how these issues impact the overall business strategy, to support the development of appropriate business strategies for long-term growth. Activelly contribute to creation and implementation of a broader EA strategy in Brazil, being able to connect external stakeholders towards the same goal.
- Develop and execute government affairs strategies to promote our organization's goals and objectives. Monitor legislative and regulatory activities at the local, state, and federal levels, and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, and other key influencers to advocate for our organization's interests. Represent our organization at meetings, hearings, and other relevant events to ensure our voice is heard and our concerns are addressed. Collaborate with internal teams to analyze the impact of proposed regulations and legislation on our organization and develop appropriate responses and action plans. Conduct research and analysis on government policies, initiatives, and trends that may impact our organization. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other materials to effectively communicate our organization's positioning and priorities to government officials and other stakeholders. Engage in coalition building and partnership development with other organizations and industry groups to amplify our advocacy efforts.
