Position Summary:
Mt. Bachelor Bar Support Staff play a big role in The Clearing Rock Bar's success. The Clearing Rock Bar Support Staff works alongside the bartenders and servers to ensure a smooth operation. The primary responsibilities are to assist with the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of the bar and dining room. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about the hospitality industry and is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced bar environment.
Major Responsibilities/ Daily Essential Functions:
Assist bartenders in preparing and serving beverages to customers.
Ensure the bar area is properly stocked with supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and any other bar necessities.
Retrieve and restock liquor bottles, kegs, beer cans, juices, and mixers.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining area, including wiping down surfaces and cleaning spills.
Empty trashcans and recycling bins as necessary.
Wash glassware and other bar equipment.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks.
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly attending to customers' needs and requests.
Collaborate with bartenders and servers to ensure speedy service during peak hours.
Resets tables according to the specifications of the restaurant.
Removes plates, glassware, and silverware when all guests have finished.
Sort individual rubbish items into respective recycling receptacles.
Sort service ware and prep for dishwasher.
Sets up and breaks down for each shift.
Maintains service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.
Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
Extensive guest interaction and requires excellent customer service skills.
The position requires a current OLCC server permit and is required to always follow OLCC rules and regulations. OLCC permit must be carried on your person while on shift.
Perform opening and closing duties. Prepare the bar for the next day's business.
Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
Have some knowledge of beer, wine, and liquors.
Have a working knowledge of POS systems.
Notify the manager, supervisor, or bar lead of inventory excess or potential shortage.
Accountable for accurate timekeeping. Responsible for clocking in and out with employee passes.
Completes any reasonable task assigned by the supervisor.
Observe mountain-wide policies found in the Employee Handbook.
Secondary Function:
Assist management with the set-up and breakdown of all special events.
Assist food runners if the window is backed up.
Snow removal duties.
Interpersonal Contacts:
Extensive guest and employee interaction.
Specific Job Skills/Certifications:
License/Certifications: OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handler's Card.
Technical: Must be proficient with POS systems.
Physical Capabilities: Must be able to change and/or move full kegs of beer. Able to stand and move around quickly for long periods.
Additional: Must have a positive attitude. Flexible with hours and days of work. Able to work any hours of the day, any day of the week. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superb customer service and problem-solving skills. Must work well under pressure.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

In addition to the specific conditions below, every position at Mt. Bachelor requires the ability to shovel snow, lift up to 10 pounds, and walk on steep and uneven surfaces.
While performing the duties of this role, the employee will be required to frequently bend, reach, climb, push, pull, lift over 50 pounds, and stand for prolonged periods. Additionally, the position will require frequent visual concentration, rapid reactions to changes, and the utilization of hand/eye coordination.
Current Hiring Range: $16.50/hr
Minimum Age Requirement: 21+
