a Field Application Engineer

The role of a FAE is taking part in assisting in big-scale pre-sales, testing, and post-sales activities.
The FAE is required to develop skills on current product features, tools and design flow and facilitates the adoption of these solutions with a variety of customer systems.
While the pure sales-man helps open the doors for business, a FAE is expected to remove technical barriers to a sale and help close business.
To thrive in this role, one needs to enjoy practicing both – the aspects of business and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers to understand products and perform demo for various field applications (Software and Hardware);
Install and configure the system and perform troubleshooting on the process and resolve issues;
Provide technical support to customers, periodically offer technical training and configure services;
Analyze a customer requirement and ensure product meets customer requirements appropriately;
Cooperate with Research and Development team, identify issues, and resolve them;
Perform troubleshooting on issues and perform tests on bugs;
Analyze applications and provide expert advice;
Maintain knowledge of industry trends;
Actively travel/visit clients/prospects in entire Brazil, technically supporting sales team as pre-sales, share with client technical documents as datasheet and have clear understanding about accessories integration;
Prepare and present technical workshops about our solutions;
Prepare development requests for R&D and follow up the whole process of it.
Minimum Requirements:
3-year experience in the transport telematics field;
Basic knowledge in electronics and vehicle electronic systems;
General knowledge in vehicle architecture, technologies used and current/future tendencies;
Knowledge in automotive diagnostics, familiarity with CAN communication interface;
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols/interfaces (CAN, SW-CAN, LIN, K-line, PWM/VPW, UDS, OBDII);
Ability to offer technical solutions for business problems;
Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical people;
Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish language;
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to work in a team as well as find solutions independently;
It is a must to be a Technical/Sales oriented person.
