Job Overview:
A Field Application Engineer III develops and grows strong relationships with industrial clients in a specific geographic market. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can create and manage strategy around target accounts, sales pipeline, solution development, and routine customer visits. A successful Field Application Engineer II will have exceptional knowledge of material handling technologies and understand how to apply them in order to improve our customer's processes and operations.
Job Functions:
Intermediate knowledge and expertise on Bastian Solutions scope of supply and capabilities.
Develops and grows strong relationships with industrial clients in assigned geographic market.
Develops a thorough understanding of product information, customers, business operations, and opportunities through onboarding, training, and development opportunities.
Creates and manages strategy regarding target accounts, sales pipeline, and routine customer visits.
Understands and executes Bastian Solutions approach regarding marketing and brand awareness with prospective and existing customers.
Develops in-depth knowledge of supplier offerings by attending training opportunities as well as conducting own research as necessary.
Assists with Project Management and/or Site Management solutions that are sold to customers.
Able to lead opportunity development process with new and existing customers for most projects.
Creates concepts, drawings, cost schedules, and detailed proposals.
Understands financials, budgets, and cash flow.
Travel Requirements:
50% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical).
5+ years of experience in technical sales.
Portray a basic level of knowledge regarding Bastian Solutions scope of supply, material handling technologies, and capabilities and apply them to customers' needs.
Technical sales experience in the industrial sector a plus.
AutoCAD experience a plus.
Results-focused individual that can close sales and secure business for the organization.
Self-starter who can create and manage strategy.
