We are looking for a qualified person to oversee daily activities and manage functions for Field Operations to provide efficient and effective use of equipment, materials, and staffing in the Austin area. Under limited supervision, the person will:
Review all job orders and work orders to coordinate daily activities and provide efficient and effective use of materials and staffing.
Coordinate communications internally with all departments and externally between board of directors, district consultants, customers, and operators.
Initiate problem-solving where necessary in the operation of facilities, distribution, and collection systems.
Provide supervision for Field Operations; establish priorities, schedule work, determine and assign duties; check work in progress and completed work; provide field training, as necessary.
Administer specific personnel actions, including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, merit increases, and employee warnings.
Review sewage treatment plant and water well reports for accuracy and completeness.
Perform on-site inspection of facilities to ensure that facilities are operated and maintained to client satisfaction and that all permit and/or regulatory agency requirements are met.
Work with field operations to develop new sources of revenue and reduce or maintain current expenses. Assist Director of Operations with the Budgetary Process.
Utilize expertise and knowledge of the industry to complete any special projects as assigned.
Consistently have service orders closed within 45 days of when opened.
Continue to upgrade certification.
Maintain facility compliance.
Communicate effectively with Account Managers.
An ideal candidate for this position should:
Have a B Wastewater and/or B Surface Water certification.
Be strong in Word/Excel and data entry skills.
Have strong verbal and written skills.
Have solid industry knowledge (with 2 years direct experience in water/wastewater maintenance).
Be detail-oriented.
Be able to multi-task.
