The Position: The Field Service Specialist - Solar plays an important role with this rapid growing company. This is a very dynamic and fast-track position reporting to the Field Service Manager. The position will be the key member of service team. This position will also be the technical point of the contact person support commercial, industrial and utility-scale solar. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform as a lead on more complex field engineering assignmentsPerform pre-commissioning (with and without grid emulator) and commissioning of solar inverters achieving the milestones agreed with utility scale customersPerform and/or lead Preventive Maintenance and O&M activities as neededPerform a variety of engineering assignment involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing and maintenance of central and string solar inverterPerform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and testing of solar inverters and its components in the field or in the laboratory. Use of PQA and oscilloscope is required as neededPerform and/or troubleshooting in your region assigned to investigate solar plant issues such as DC arrays grid faults, inverter design issues, and utility grid transientsProvide feedback to the engineering team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvementsLead upgrade projects (software and hardware) in the field and interact with customers to explain the technical scope of the projectWork with customer SCADA engineers to set-up systems communication and parametersCreate Field Service procedures if there is not available for trouble-shooting, and maintenanceParticipate on training material some customers as requested but the Training ManagerResearch alternative components that can be used in the fieldCoordinate with R&D engineering in China if required help during troubleshootingTake the lead in some projects such as upgrades or retrofit as well as commissioningIndependently performs a range of field service tasks involving communication with Factory Engineeringand Customer's solar plant engineerCoordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistic, financial, and program management disciplines to maintain the solar plantsHelp on the repair activities in the Service centerPrepare, deliver and submit field reports to customer and managementSupport development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of workConduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alterative, and provide recommendations Minimum Requirements:Previous experience in Field ServicePrevious experience in solar invertersMust possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as requiredMust possess customer service, problem-solving skills, and possess decision making and analytical skillsMust possess effective written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to closely follow instruction and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the ductions of the jobMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, power Point and Outlook)Electrical Safety Education or Desired License and Certificates:Bachelor's degree or Technical degree with equivalent experienceSolar industry experience is requiredMANDATORY: Advanced English or above CompetenciesTechnical problem solving/analytical skillsSelf-starter, strong initiatives and an excellent communicatorSystem and product level mindsetOrganization, detailed-oriented nature and strong initiativeStrong technical support focus and a service-oriented individual both with Sales team and customers Work Location and Status:São Paulo or Metropolitan region of Minas Gerais (Juiz de Fora, Montes Claros, Pirapora or Belo Horizonte)Office in Osasco, SPAvailability to national and international travels (70-80%)
