Overview: A US-based law firm is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our team remotely as a contractor (third-party service provider). If you're passionate about cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, this could be the perfect fit for you What You'll Do (but not limited to): Overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Monitoring and optimizing cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for the firm's operations and timely payments Coordinating the processing and recording of payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Managing and reviewing monthly installment plans for clients, including follow-ups on overdue payments Leading client communication regarding billing inquiries, payment schedules, and financial disputes Preparing, presenting, and analyzing financial reports for management, including cash flow projections, monthly and quarterly updates Overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collection and disbursement of funds Reconciling bank statements and ensuring financial accuracy and transparency Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support the firm's growth and decision-making Collaborating with the legal team on financial documentation related to immigration cases and compliance Supervising the preparation of invoices, tracking outstanding payments, and ensuring timely collections Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal policies Coordinating audits and ensuring financial compliance with local and federal regulations Leading finance meetings, offering financial insights, and guiding strategic decisions related to cash flow and overall financial health Providing leadership and mentorship to junior finance staff, offering training and guidance where necessary Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients to ensure smooth financial operations Participate in and support project management initiatives. Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement efforts (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen). What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus). Knowledge of financial management, cash flow analysis, and accounting principles. Familiarity with financial systems, budgeting, and forecasting tools. Skillset: Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A collaborative, teamwork-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and financial software. Requirements: Reliable home office setup, including appropriate hardware, software, and high-speed internet.
