In the role of Finance Director, you will hold a crucial position as the main liaison for the LATAM Finance Director, local Managing Director, and HQ controlling team. Your key responsibilities will involve overseeing various financial aspects of Brazilian finance, including managing taxes, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, FP&A, media finance, and corporate reporting. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring smooth financial operations and driving strategic decision-making within the organization.
As the Finance Director, your main focus will be on building and developing a high-performance team while fostering productivity that aligns with the company's purpose. Your leadership and guidance are essential in driving the team toward overall organizational success and meeting key objectives. By creating a collaborative environment, you will empower the team to excel and contribute toward fulfilling the organization's goals.
In this role you will:
Manage and cultivate business and client relationships.
Support the local business team, realigning and troubleshooting when necessary.
Ensure that the P&L is delivered according to the expectations for budget, timing, and quality.
Be responsible for the full Planning & Control cycle, including monthly closings, quarterly rolling forecasts, annual budgets, strategic plans, and cash flow.
Ensure compliance with appropriate controls and IFRS.
Act as the main contact person for internal and external audits.
Drive execution to implement and maintain strong business operations locally.
Manage and liaise with various stakeholders, such as the FP&A Team, local MDs, and the Finance and Tax Team of the Parent company (S4).
Ensure all reporting is compliant with statutory requirements and tax regulations.
Contribute to documenting and improving processes while building a future-proof finance and reporting structure.
Inspire and cultivate team members, mentoring and coaching to strengthen their capabilities.
Participate in implementing new ERP/Finance systems.
Oversee media finance operations, including supporting and implementing the media finance process in the agency.
Manage facilities.
Experience you already have:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Professional Experience: Over 10 years of work experience, including positions with holding companies and/or large independent agencies in Brazil, and experience with Big 4 firms or similar organizations.
Operational Expertise: A strong background in operations management, showcasing the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Media Finance Knowledge: Experience in media finance with a solid understanding of media operations and financial systems.
Global Perspective: A solid global outlook, enabling navigation of international markets and diverse business environments.
Collaborative Experience: Experience in collaborative, diverse, and multicultural organizations.
Leadership Skills: A proven track record of managing businesses and leading teams effectively.
Project Involvement: Involvement in global products, projects, or programs.
Cultural Insight: A strong understanding of cultural dynamics and market changes influencing the agency and its clients.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, articulating ideas clearly and succinctly.
Language Proficiency: Advanced English (Proven TOEFL over 90/120 is a plus).
