This includes coordination with Operations business stakeholders, as well as with local and Seattle Finance management.He/She is responsible for identifying relevant insights, analytical reports, and business commentary that enable leaders in the company to make sound decisions.The position will be responsible for analysis/discussion on recent Operations performance, as well as communicating impact to our retail businesses for their bottom-line profitability.The Financial Manager will also be responsible for managing projects to streamline planning/reporting processes, and assess financial impact of new business initiatives.The role will be based at our Tokyo headquarters with occasional travel to other locations.Key job responsibilities:- Lead financial planning and reporting processes, coordinate with local stakeholders, as well as local and global Finance management.- Deliver insights, analytical reports, and business commentary to make business decisions.- Analyze Operations performance and communicate impact to our retail businesses.- Lead projects to streamline planning/reporting processes and assess financial impact of new business initiatives.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - BA/BS degree- 7+ years relevant experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results- Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results- 7+ years of experience with advanced proficiency in Excel (index, lookups, sumifs, pivots, standard deviation, database connections)- 7+ years of experience working in a business partnering role- Business English LevelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Japanese language abilityPosted: December 20, 2024 (Updated 2 days ago)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
