MISSION
The candidate will be expected to work in the EU Finance team.
The main activities of work are: support the daily financial management of the assigned BU to him/her in order to manage business finance activities.
The candidate will analyze, prepare and execute the financial processes necessary for the financial viability of the projects.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support the EU Finance Direction to implement and manage the appropriate financial structure of the projects/companies, keeping in mind the following objectives:
Support in the definition of the potential funding scenarios and develop sensitivity analysis; highlighting impacts in terms of profitability using excel-based financial models.
Develop specific skills in financing solutions adopted in different platforms and engage the local teams in new projects.
Follow-up on the project's finance structure evolution at various stages; as described during the internal analysis, the approval process and implementation stage.
Responsible for supporting the scheduling activities related to the financial area (long-term funding, bridge, equity, and hedging).
Maintain updated relations with financial institutions and negotiations with financial institutions and other entities, if it is the case, including Due Diligence processes.
Assist with gathering and presenting necessary information required by the shareholders.
Ensure the general financial management of each assigned business unit, namely:
Perform the financial activities based on systems and processes under appropriate internal control.
Perform on a periodic basis the Cash Flow Forecast, towards an accurate and timely prediction of the assigned Business Units' funding needs, matched with the sources of funding and implement the necessary measures in order to mitigate deviations in relation to Budget/Forecast.
In coordination with the Corporate Treasury Department, supervise, evaluate and approve the cash requests issued by the assigned Business Units.
In coordination with the Corporate Finance Department, assist on the required Credit Support for the Projects.
Perform on the finance activities, monitoring and reporting on financial performance, namely in relation to financial liabilities and assets, equity, and financial costs or revenues.
Liaising with other departments, such as M&A, Legal, Tax, and Accountancy, on a range of issues, including the support on the required development and finance activities to obtain necessary internal approvals for investment decisions.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED PROFILE
ACADEMIC LEVEL
Bachelor in Finance or Economics; MBA preferred.
English: C1 or equivalent.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
More than 2/3 years in the financial/investment/accounting department of a medium or large-sized company or group.
Experience in financial modelling.
Analysis and presentation skills required.
Experience in Project Finance contracts.
As the role is at the crossroads between different areas and countries within EDPR, the candidate needs to combine a practical knowledge of financial matters with a good ability to work in teams, with an ability to adapt to a variety of situations and priorities.
Travel Required (10%-20%).
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
IT systems: Knowledge as an experienced user in terms of business applications, as SAP ERP, Appian.
Power BI.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power Point, and Word) and Finance software (i.e., SAP).
LANGUAGES
Ability to read, write, speak fluently in English (level C1 or equivalent) and Spanish; knowledgeable in reading and/or writing Portuguese a plus.
