In this role, you will support the Financial Officer by collecting, preparing, and processing financial and accounting data in agreement with accounting principles in force in both Brazil and the US, specifically related to insurance business. Liberty Mutual Surety is dedicated to the communities we serve and highly values a diverse workforce in more than 19 countries.Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting of finance and accounting activities, including but not limited to:Prepares, supports and processes financial data (i.e. general ledger, bills, accounts payable, accounts receivables, validations, journal entries) using several accounting systems in timely and efficient manner. Provides results to manager per process.Contributes to accounting and financial analysis and prepares reports in a timely and efficient way.Handles complex data with a high degree of accuracy. Identifies, reports and solves problems with a degree of efficiency.Offers support in accounting and financial matters to external and internal clients. Reviews deviations and identifies and work to solve any problem and variation as soon as arises. Provides conclusions to supervisors.Collaborates with compliance regarding accounting, tax and regulatory rules. Support the Financial officer on protecting company assets and reviews alignment of all operations to corporate policies, manuals and procedures. Guarantees technical quality of financial data.Attends requests of internal and external auditors and regulators.Participates in initiatives and projects of its area and in interaction with others.Maintains processes and makes recommendations for improvement.Ensures a high degree of accuracy.As requested, provides support to other areas and external clients, regulators and auditors in accounting and financial matters, including moderate knowledge of tax rules.Other projects and duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:University degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is desirable.A minimum of 5 years on accounting and Finance experience, preferably with multinational/international or audit firms. Prior experience working in the insurance industry is expected.Proven ability of communication written and oral and decision making in operational matters related to accounting and finance.Strong bilingual capabilities in English and Portuguese (verbal and written). Spanish capabilities highly desired. Resumes must be submitted in English for consideration.Knowledge and experience in US GAAP and Brazil GAAP.Moderate knowledge of tax rules in Brazil.Excellent attitude of service and learning.
