About the Job We are on the lookout for a FinOps Specialist who will merge the analytical prowess of a FinOps Practitioner with the technical expertise of an Engineer.
The ideal candidate will focus on tasks such as optimization, governance, and ensuring the execution and centralization of FinOps processes.
What you'll do Champion cultural change towards cloud cost management and optimization Develop and disseminate best practices for cloud cost management.
Establish benchmarks and create visibility into cloud costs for various teams Inform and assist in the creation of cloud budgets and forecasts Serve as a central function for common FinOps tasks within the organization Work closely with the FinOps team lead, analysts, and other stakeholders to implement the Principles and Capabilities of the FinOps Framework Tackle challenges such as data access, distributed accountability, and scaling adoption across the enterprise Reduce reliance on tools by enhancing capabilities through education and standardization.
What you'll need Strong working knowledge of the FinOps Framework and its application in a business context Experience in bridging the gap between technical and financial domains Proven track record of fostering cultural change within an organization Ability to create and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts Experience with cloud cost management in both single and multi-cloud environments Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams Analytical mindset with a focus on driving efficiency and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Metrics: Achievement of accurate budgets and forecasts Improvement in Unit Cost Economics Increased coverage of discounts/reservations Reduction in the percentage of untagged resources Identification and realization of efficiency opportunities.
