About the JobWe are on the lookout for a FinOps Specialist who will merge the analytical prowess of a FinOps Practitioner with the technical expertise of an Engineer. The ideal candidate will focus on tasks such as optimization, governance, and ensuring the execution and centralization of FinOps processes.What you ll do Champion cultural change towards cloud cost management and optimizationDevelop and disseminate best practices for cloud cost management.Establish benchmarks and create visibility into cloud costs for various teamsInform and assist in the creation of cloud budgets and forecastsServe as a central function for common FinOps tasks within the organizationWork closely with the FinOps team lead, analysts, and other stakeholders to implement the Principles and Capabilities of the FinOps FrameworkTackle challenges such as data access, distributed accountability, and scaling adoption across the enterpriseReduce reliance on tools by enhancing capabilities through education and standardization. What you ll need Strong working knowledge of the FinOps Framework and its application in a business contextExperience in bridging the gap between technical and financial domainsProven track record of fostering cultural change within an organizationAbility to create and maintain accurate budgets and forecastsExperience with cloud cost management in both single and multi-cloud environmentsExcellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teamsAnalytical mindset with a focus on driving efficiency and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
