What You'll Do
We are looking for a
Software Engineer
to help us build and evolve our distributed and scalable products.
We are looking for a well-rounded software development engineer to work remotely with experience delivering software at scale in an Agile environment.
You will be reporting to Sr.
Manager, Software Engineering.
Primary responsibilities:
Work with Scrum team members to design and test cloud-based software applications.
Participate as a scrum member, estimating and evaluating existing stories, and writing new stories.
You will be an important participant in creating a Quality First, Zero Defects culture.
Promote Shift Left approach.
You will develop and deliver enhancements to the existing codebase by creating well-documented, modular, and testable code.
Review design specifications and create a technical design document.
You will perform code review with peers.
Define scopes of work across multiple components and technologies.
Work on more strategic programmes often spanning more than 1 quarter of development effort.
Lead efforts to sub-divide vague requirements into applicable scopes of work for yourself and others for single and multi-component systems/changes.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
Must Haves:
Four years bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or equivalent.
Minimum of 4+ years
of experience in a software development role.
Experience in one of the front-end development frameworks e.g.
ReactJS, Angular, Ember.
Experience in Node.js.
Exposure to Cloud technologies.
Basic knowledge to build CI/CD pipeline.
Other characteristics:
Experience with data structures and algorithms.
Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns to provide solutions with simplistic design.
Experience in any relational database management system, e.g.
SQL, PostgreSQL.
Experience building scalable and low latency address look up systems.
