Do you want to utilise your extensive experience of leading a workforce to achieve high performance and foster continuous improvement.We are looking for a General Manager to join an MRO to lead their operation in Brazil. With a minimum of 5-10 years experience at progressive levels of responsibility within an aviation MRO engineering or manufacturing capacity you will lead the plant to achieve production schedules, product quality and cost and inventory management and ultimately deliver to the customer.You will:Drives manufacturing margins, customer satisfaction, cost of quality, inventory, productivity, organisational development and other operations metrics of the facilityDevelop, implement and review suitable short- and long-range plans to achieve assigned Plant and group objectives such as the profit plan, strategic plan, and forecasts based on customer expectations, and committing to achieving established targetsCoordinate and direct through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to manufacturing, asset utilisation, inventory control, facilities control, building lay-out and construction, maintenance, manufacturing projects and studies, cost control, manpower utilisation, work standards and administrationResponsible for contributing to the development of all plant policies, consistent with the direction of the overall organisationReview, maintain, control, implement corrective action and regularly report on the financial progress of the plant within the assigned group to maintain profit plan expectations and insure incremental / decremental performanceImplementation and adherence to the group Business System, Quality System, Lean Six Sigma, Balanced Score Card and Business Operating SystemDevelop plant staff level personnel and address employees' issuesFoster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing the culture of High performance, Continuous Improvement, and Recognition.Ensure that group policies, practices and initiatives are implemented and followedEnsure compliance with all government, financial, environmental and labor regulations. Represent in local organisations and community service activitiesDevelop effective communications and spirit of teamwork between the plant operation and sales & marketing, customers, other division plants and the division staff.Job Requirement A minimum of 5-10 years equivalent experience with progressive levels of responsibility in MRO or manufacturing, engineering, or aviation relatedWorking knowledge of current manufacturing, engineering, materials/purchasing and quality assurance methods and practices.A thorough understanding of financial practices and financial statements is required.Administrative knowledge in information systems, human resources and in controlling key projects and plant initiatives.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong leadership, motivational, & interpersonal skills.English language capability required, as will Portuguese and or/Spanish.Position requires excellent communications & employee relations skills & the ability to lead & motivate subordinatesRequires the ability to manage the teaching, training, motivation & development of personnel in the manufacturing departments
