We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting and finance-related duties for a variety of clients across multiple industries. This role is crucial in ensuring data integrity, managing client relationships, and overseeing our bookkeeping team. Salary: $2,800 - $3,500 USD. Location: Remote (LatAm) Working Time Zone: EST On a typical day, you will have the chance to: Dive into the financial details of multiple client businesses across various industries, solving complex accounting challenges and implementing innovative solutions Collaborate with our CFOs and client success team to provide strategic insights, while mentoring junior bookkeepers and building strong client relationships Analyze financial data to uncover trends and opportunities, streamline processes, and act as a financial storyteller translating numbers into meaningful narratives for clients Apply your expertise in QuickBooks and other accounting software, while continually expanding your skills and knowledge across different industries and business models Responsibilities: Assess financial infrastructure of prospective clients to determine their needs Onboard new clients by cleaning up accounting records and restructuring controls & processes Manage and supervise the firm's bookkeeping team Ensure data integrity for all accounting/financial processes Process or review all bookkeeping activity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Perform month-end and year-end close procedures Own the monthly reporting process for delivering client financial statements Research and implement software programs to eliminate manual processes Create and analyze financial accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation Document processes and procedures for finance and accounting functions Compile data and liaise with tax accountants to prepare tax filings Comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements Interpret new and existing legislation affecting accounting practices Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting +7 years of responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience Strong knowledge of and experience applying GAAP 5+ years of experience using QuickBooks Online and leveraging all its components Experience with software integrations and synchronizing data into accounting platforms Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Exceptional organizational skills and passion for process improvement Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously Experience working with small to medium-sized businesses preferred Desired Skills: Experience with Bill.com, Gusto, Harvest, ADP, Expensify, or other accounting software Knowledge of various industries and their specific accounting needs Background in professional services or consulting environments Personal Qualities: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment Proactive communication style Ability to adapt to different client needs and personalities Comfortable working under pressure and in fast-paced environments Objectivity, patience, and goal-orientation Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization
