Who will you be working with?
In this role, you will work in manufacturing, collaborating with other factory teams.
What do we want to know about you?
- University Degree in Engineering or other.
- Strong experience in the area of activity in a leadership position.
- Knowledge of basic Lean concepts.
- Fluent English.
- Have clear and direct communication.
- Have a good professional attitude, be available and open to discussions, respecting co-workers.
What will your typical day look like?
- Manage the area under your responsibility, leading the team to ensure performance in the execution of work, through the establishment and management of metrics and indicators.
- Define actions at the strategic, tactical and operational levels, through the preparation of short, medium and long-term plans for the area.
- Make decisions, in accordance with the company's guidelines, establishing priorities that ensure the best relationship between deadline, quality, cost and benefit for the company.
- Contribute to and/or enable new businesses, favoring the continuous development of the company, as well as keeping up to date with opportunities, monitoring the political and economic factors of the market.
- Act as an agent of change in promoting continuous improvement, providing the necessary resources to achieve the established objectives.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the company's culture, promoting a favorable environment for the performance of Wabtec's values, leading motivational and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain contact with the company's headquarters and other Wabtec businesses, ensuring the alignment of global, regional and local strategies, as well as reporting on functional and business results.
- Lead the processes related to people management, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Human Resources area in the areas of training, development, selection, evaluation, personnel administration, among others.
- Contribute to the correct use, conservation and optimization of assets, through monitoring, evaluation and requesting necessary maintenance or corrections.
- Comply with and enforce the integrity and Compliance guidelines, as well as the company's EHS standards and procedures.
