The Head of FA&R Americas will lead the Financial Accounting & Reporting team overseeing all related activities across operating units in the region.
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial reports while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead and oversee the FA&R team in the Americas ensuring timely and accurate closing of accounts and preparation of periodic financial reports.
Mentor and guide department members fostering engagement and performance while upholding a strong organizational culture.
Act as a role model and facilitate learning and development to build a highperformance team.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with internal accounting standards statutory requirements and controls across all relevant jurisdictions.
Maintain adherence to financial accounting operations documentation and reporting standards for both internal and external compliance.
Monitor changes in accounting standards and statutory requirements assess impacts and proactively manage associated risks.
Operational Efficiency & Automation: Contribute to the simplification standardization digitalization and automation of accounting operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead the transition from local accounting systems to the global ERP system ensuring smooth integration and compliance.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and collaborate with internal stakeholders on accounting and reporting matters.
Partner with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support FA&R initiatives in the Americas.
Additional Duties: Manage ad hoc matters as they arise and handle other tasks assigned by the Global Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting.
Requisitos Experience: Experience in financial accounting and reporting preferably within a multinational organization or a Big 4 firm.
Proven track record in leading financial accounting and reporting activities.
Industry experience in infrastructure and/or offshore oil and gas sectors is advantageous.
Expertise: Strong knowledge in financial accounting and reporting standards including local GAAP and IFRS.
A deep commercial understanding to support decisionmaking and strategic initiatives.
Other Requirements: Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting Business Administration Finance or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as ACA ACCA CPA or equivalent are highly desirable.
