The role requires a strategic financial expert with a robust understanding of the Brazilian financial market with a "hands on approach". The BUC will be responsible for financial performance, reporting accuracy, and compliance with local regulations, ensuring alignment between financial strategies and operational goals. This position is ideal for an experienced finance professional with deep insights into Brazil's financial landscape, capable of driving profitability and efficiency within a fast-paced fintech environment.Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans for the business units. Collaborate with the consolidation team and the business units teams to ensure accurate financial projections; Budgeting and Cost Control: Collaborate on budgeting processes, ensure cost-efficiency, and lead initiatives to optimize operational expenses while maintaining quality and compliance; Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and monitor financial performance, analyzing variances and advising on corrective actions. Provide actionable insights for decision-making at both strategic and operational levels; Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial practices are compliant with Brazilian financial regulations. Stay updated on regulatory changes and guide the team on necessary adjustments; Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, consolidating data to provide a clear view of business performance. Work closely with the financial consolidation team & senior finance team on reporting to investors and stakeholders; Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks within the business unit, with a keen understanding of the Brazilian financial market's unique risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies accordingly; Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a financial advisor to business unit leaders, helping to drive decisions that align financial outcomes with business objectives. Partner with operations, sales, and technology teams for seamless financial integration. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred; Experience: Experience in a financial management or business unit controller role, ideally within the fintech or financial services sector. Proven expertise in the Brazilian financial market is essential. (Proven experience modeling SCFI/ALM, Credit Card and financials for other credit products would be an important plus); Hands-on approach to day-to-day activities; Strong communication skills using clear frameworks to present insights; Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; Proficiency with ERP and financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion); Advanced Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI); Deep knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards and regulatory requirements; Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English is required, Spanish would be a plus.
