Our client, a financial services company, is seeking a Head of Compliance.
The Head of Compliance will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies, procedures, and processes to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory obligations, both locally and internationally.
This role involves designing and delivering compliance training programs, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international regulations, and ensuring that the organization's operations align with global standards.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate compliance risks, identifying potential areas of vulnerability.
Provide strategic direction and leadership in implementing international compliance standards and addressing regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
Lead the creation and execution of compliance training programs, ensuring that all employees are informed and engaged with company policies and regulations.
Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments, reporting on findings and overseeing corrective actions as needed.
Maintain strong relationships with external regulatory authorities and keep the company informed of any changes in legislation or industry regulations.
Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on compliance matters and act as the primary point of contact for all regulatory inquiries.
Obligated Qualifications: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing compliance teams at a senior management or executive level, driving organizational compliance strategy and fostering a strong compliance culture, specifically within financial services and financial institutions .
Extensive experience in leading teams in the financial sector and financial institutions is required.
Deep expertise in international regulatory frameworks, including anti-money laundering (AML), data protection (GDPR), and cross-border operations.
Experience in designing, implementing, and continuously improving compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks, with a focus on mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to global legal requirements.
Fluency in English is required, with the ability to navigate and engage in complex regulatory discussions in English-speaking environments.
