In order to get there, we are looking for a person for the newly created role as Head of Electric & Electronics, Electromobility Purchasing for SA. The increased technology complexity coming with the need of redundancy and electrification of our products calls for an increased content and focus in the years to come. This will require that you are extremely well connected with your x-functional stakeholders, with an ability to see the end-to-end perspective at company level. You will also have to mature our business practices and bring the commodity to the next level.

**What we absolutely need you to do**
Act as a trusted leader and coach your organization strategically and operationally. With this you secure financial/cost targets, KPIs fulfillment as well as Purchasing Agreements.
Drive and implement the segment strategies and manage supply partner's relationship, selection, partnership and negotiations.
With an ownership mentality build effective teams with common objectives and high team spirit
Be proactive and handle ambiguities - we move too fast to be reactive. We need you to support the Volvo group change journey exploring and implementing Partnership and New business models.
Influence the continuous improvement and our learning culture

**Main Responsibilities**
- Be a member in South America Purchasing leadership team and in proactive way contribute to the development of the department
- Manage purchasing QDCF- TSR deliverables
- Staff your team and drive its competence development individually and collectively
- Drive department activities towards the wanted position
- Coach your team to act efficiently as well as engage and guide them to through continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage the overall supplier relationships and implement the global segment strategies
- Represent the South America Region into the Strategic line
- Be the Purchasing voice into the cross functional teams
- Responsible for budget & operating expenses
- Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values
**Competence & Experience**
- University degree in Engineering/Technology and/or Business Administration
- Industry Automotive Experience
- Proven experience in an international purchasing environment (5+ years)
- Strong Leadership skills with proven previous experience as a manager (5 + years)
- Deep understanding of the Purchasing operations
- Proven holistic business mindset
- Experience Electric, Electronics & Electromobility is a diferential
- Entrepreneurial spirit, able to create and develop
- High level of integrity and trust
- Interested in future business trends, technology and markets
- Experience identifying and leading the introduction of new technologies or innovations into products.
