The Head of Legal Entity in Brazil is a strategic leadership role that will lead the development and execution of strategies to receive and treat regulatory requirements . This role will focus on regulatory bodies, government agencies, and industry associations to advance the company's interests, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks. The objective of this position is to cover, filter and find internal stakeholders to provide solutions for regulatory compliance requests .
As a Head of Legal Entity, you will
Own and oversee the overall resource allocation and headcount for the function.
Set, allocate, and monitor budget and costs.
Develop and implement regulatory strategies that support the company's business objectives and plans.
Lead the company's strategy on regulatory engagement, ensuring compliance with current laws while proactively shaping future legislation and policy in the gambling sector.
Build and maintain governance to attend government agencies, regulatory authorities, policymakers, and other key external stakeholders requests.
Coordinate communication strategies, internally with the team about new requirements for gambling sector.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Extensive experience in public affairs, regulatory affairs, or government relations, with experience in a leadership role.
Demonstrated success in navigating complex regulatory environments and influencing policy outcomes.
Strong knowledge of national and international regulatory frameworks, particularly those relevant to the company's industry.
Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, government officials, and external partners.
Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate regulatory challenges and a problem-solving mindset.
Experience in crisis management and navigating high-pressure situations with sound judgment.
Experience working with senior executives and providing guidance on regulatory and public policy matters.
