The Head of People will lead a team of 30 SumUppers, with three direct reports responsible for the People function and Facility Management. This person, partnering with the CEO Brazil and the Global Chief People Officer, will be a part of the Management team at SumUp Brazil and the Global People Management team.
We're an office-first company and this position is based in Pinheiros, São Paulo.
**What you'll do**:
- Co-create the People strategy and help build a high-calibre stellar team in Brazil
- Strategically partner with stakeholders to identify business needs aligned with local and global organization goals and translate strategic objectives into the People team agenda
- Guide the People team to build strategic initiatives through the generation of relevant data and analysis
- Coach, support, mentor, and challenge stakeholders in all people and business-related matters
- Directly be responsible for the People Partners, Learning and Development, and Facility Management teams, and indirectly Talent Acquisition, Rewards, and People Operations
- Support the business in identifying mid and long-term capability needs to implement a learning and development culture and ensure a continuous learning environment
**You'll be great for this role if**:
- You have held a People or Operations leadership role in a similarly large, multinational, and complex organization.
- Ideally, you have regional or international work experience.
- You have a deep understanding of the dynamics of decentralized, flat, autonomous, globally distributed, and multicultural company environments.
- You have strong business acumen and can understand the needs of the market and different teams, and coach the stakeholders accordingly.
- You're a people leader, developing your team members, and collaborating effectively with various indirect teams.
- You have a data-driven approach with strong project management skills.
- You're a strong communicator and fluent in Portuguese and English. Fluency in Spanish would be a plus.
