Cleanoccupied guest rooms.
Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and reset guest hotel rooms and bathroom areas according toestablished standards.Change linens and refresh guest amenities in guest hotel rooms andbathroom areas.Delivery of requested items from guests (towels, blankets,pillows, etc.).Organize and stock linen closets on floors assigned and clean work areas.Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, appropriateengineering work orders for maintenance needs throughout theproperty and any other assigned paperwork.Attend daily pre-shift department line-up meeting.Assist in cleaning guest corridor and public areas.Report any service discrepancies to the appropriate manager orsupervisor and resolve where possible.Report any safety or security discrepancies to the appropriatemanager or supervisor.NOTE: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Otherrelated duties may be assigned as required in addition to theprinciple duties outlined above.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: In addition, this position may be required to perform a combinationof the following supportive functions, with the percentage of timeperforming each function to be solely determined by the manager basedupon the particular requirements of The Ranch:
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaningproducts and equipment to adhere to health standards.Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpectedspills and executing special guest requests.Assist other housekeeping team members in maintaining clean andorganized work and public areas.Experience and Skills:Requirements for the position: Education and Licensing: High school or equivalent education required.
Skills and Experience: No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience desired.
Grooming: All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomedappearance per The Ranch standards.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills andabilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she canperform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonableaccommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primarylanguage(s) used in the workplace.Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.Must possess basic computational ability.Working knowledge of applicable sanitation standards.Knowledge of The Ranch operations, its services, and facilities.Physical Demands: Most work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature ismoderate and controlled by The Ranch environmental systems indoors.Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions such as heatand cold depending on season.Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4hours in length.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to100 lbs., on a regular and continuing basis.Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different floorsof The Ranch on a timely basis.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitivemotions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process ofcommunicating with guests, supervisors and other team members.Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functionsbeing those of near vision and depth perception.Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.Other: * We participate in the E-Verify program. Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of thisposition. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action,up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the fluctuation in business levels in the hospitalityindustry, team members may be required to work varying schedules toreflect the business needs of The Ranch. In addition, attendance isrequired at all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply withcompany rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation ofThe Ranch's facilities. Team members who violate The Ranch rules andregulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to andincluding termination of employment.
