Job DescriptionLead and manage a team of housing staff, including maintenance workers, property managers, and other support personnel.Address tenant concerns, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.Ensure tenants comply with housing rules and regulations, handling conflicts or violations when necessary.Oversee the maintenance and repair of housing units, ensuring that the facilities are safe, clean, and in good working order.Schedule regular inspections and maintenance checks.Coordinate emergency repairs and preventive maintenance efforts.Monitor and control operational costs, such as repairs, utilities, and supplies.Ensure that housing properties meet all local, state, and federal housing laws, building codes, and health and safety regulations.Maintain accurate records of housing operations, including maintenance requests, tenant communications, financial reports, and compliance documentation. QualificationsStrong management and interpersonal skills to supervise staff and handle tenant relations effectively.Understanding of housing laws, tenant rights, and building codes.A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required or a related field is often preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property management, housing, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as walking the property, inspecting buildings, and lifting moderate weights.Ability to work in various environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
