Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports toLBA Manager- BR Motion HeadYour role and responsibilitiesEnsure the implementation and control of the Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA) to protect employee health and integrity, improve working conditions, and comply with current legislation regarding the Professional Profile for Social Security (PPP), Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA), Internal Accident Prevention Week (SIPAT), Fire Brigade, Occupational Health Medical Control Program (PCMSO), Regulatory Norms (NRs), among others. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations, as well as legal requirements. Respond to audit and certification programs (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001), supporting line managers, coordinators, supervisors, and employees in understanding their obligations and responsibilities in accordance with local Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) laws and ABB Group policies. Manage technical teams to achieve established programs and objectives, contributing to improved performance and the dissemination of a culture focused on Health, Safety, and Environmental concerns within the organization. Support business development through the application of HSE knowledge and techniques, providing solutions and recommendations to ensure continuity of results in line with ABB policies and relevant legislation. Oversee designated technical teams at various locations, coordinating and continuously monitoring safety, health, and environmental processes. Assess needs, share experiences, and provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with all norms and procedures, while aligning necessary processes. Coordinate, technically guide, and evaluate health, safety, and environmental program actions through studies, technical visits, and systematic monitoring of conditions at all company locations. Aim to identify, maintain, or enhance health and safety levels while identifying potential risks to the individual and collective integrity of employees and contractors. Manage audits of health, workplace safety, and environmental conditions across all facilities, assessing risks and identifying areas for action and adjustment. Ensure compliance with norms and procedures among all workers-employees and contractors-while identifying needs for adjustments and suggesting corrective measures as necessary to prevent accidents and health/environmental risks. Propose health, safety, and environmental policies, programs, standards, and regulations, staying updated on best market practices, monitoring legislative developments, and anticipating potential risks to protect company interests and employee safety. Monitor and report performance indicators across all units, including accidents, incidents, risks, and related factors. Evaluate adherence to procedures, identify areas for improvement, and provide preventive and corrective actions. Promote a culture of safety by disseminating practices related to occupational safety standards, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and programs aimed at employee health. Ensure the completion of all training required by operational policies and awareness/prevention initiatives. Organize events and campaigns such as SIPAT, CIPA, Quality of Life, Health Programs, Vaccination Drives, and Fire Brigade training. Stay informed about current legislation in your area of expertise through seminars, document reviews, and professional networking, ensuring timely adjustments and applications within the company. Conduct thorough investigations of accidents, reviewing all related events and consequences. Learn from incidents to identify corrective actions and communicate necessary changes in procedures and processes to management.Qualifications for the roleEducation: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electrotechnical). Postgraduate degree in Health & Safety is necessary.Previous experience in managing HSE teams is essential.Previous involvement in developing Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Prevention Programs is necessary.Solid understanding of Regulatory Norms (NRs), particularly NR-10 for electrical safety, and safety-related NBR standards; knowledge of social security legislation.Strong understanding of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards-preferably as a lead auditor.Desirable: Previous experience in companies of similar size to ABB.Desirable: Certifications such as ISO 50001, 9001, and NFPA standards, especially NFPA 70E.Language Skills: Fluent English is required; Spanish is a plus.More about usWe offer a hybrid work model, combining days working from home and in the office.
