Title: System Engineer (SCCM/Active Directory) Location: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated System Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience to join our dynamic IT operations team. As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our system infrastructure, including SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects. Your expertise in PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting complex technical issues will ensure the stability and security of our IT environment. Main Responsibilities and Duties: Administer and manage SCCM environments, including deployment, packaging, and network inventory. Coordinate server patching activities and liaise with web services teams to ensure system integrity. Maintain and support Windows server infrastructure, Active Directory services, and implement Group Policy Objects. Develop and perform software distribution and patch management strategies for PCs, laptops, and servers. Troubleshoot and resolve client health issues and distribution point configurations. Construct and maintain operating system deployments, images, and application deployment processes. Design and implement software distribution, software deployment (SD), and patch management routines. Package applications and manage WSUS for updates and patch synchronization. Support system hardening, high availability configurations, and backup strategy development. Execute server/service configuration backups and restoration. Monitor and manage server infrastructure, with SCOM experience being advantageous. Utilize SCORCH for automation and orchestration tasks, if applicable. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, Group Policy Objects, and SCCM. Proven experience in Sev1 and Sev2 incident management. Strong understanding of ticketing environments and service level agreements. Certifications in Microsoft technologies (such as MCSE, MCSA) are highly desirable. Desired Skills and Knowledge: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to document technical processes and create training materials. Knowledge of SCORCH is highly advantageous. Familiarity with system center operations manager (SCOM) is preferred. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Tools Required: Proficiency with SCCM for system management tasks. Experience with PowerShell scripting for administration and automation. Familiarity with Active Directory tools and utilities. Knowledge of WSUS and patch management tools. Experience with SCORCH, SCOM, and other system center suite tools (if applicable).
