The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing import data, identifying compliance issues, and taking immediate corrective actions. This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.What you'll do:Manage and coordinate import shipment activitiesEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and customs requirementsAnalyse import data and identify compliance issuesCoordinate the import process ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and customs requirementsConsult regularly with international suppliers, customs agents, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of imported goodsMonitor and track the movement of goods throughout the import processPrepare and submit all necessary documentation such as customs declarations, import permits, and shipping schedulesCommunicate regularly with clients providing updates on the status of their imported goodsCollaborate with internal procurement and warehouse teams for smooth coordination of import activitiesConduct thorough inspections of imported goods ensuring quality control and compliance with specificationsTake proactive measures to mitigate potential risks and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the import processWhat you bring:Minimum a Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain ManagementSound knowledge of customs procedures, import regulations, and international trade practicesProficiency in SAP (Mandatory)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Minimum 5 years' experience as an Import Controller or similar role within the logistics industryStrong attention to accuracy and detailExceptional communication skillsAbility to make quick decisions and find solutions in challenging situationsWhat sets this company apart:Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing industry with a reputation for excellence.
