The Inbound Transport and Customs department is integrated into Regional Supply Chain structure and supports with dedicated responsibilities both over PBUs and SBUs.ResponsibilitiesTransport & Customs in Vestas MED have the overall responsibility to secure a well-functioning import and export process to fulfill the business needs in markets across the MED region with the possible lowest cost; while ensuring we are conducting our business in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations. Your responsibilities may include:Address and support customs & transport issues concerning new market entrySupport, coordinate, develop, and monitor the customs brokerage and transport business in MEDAssist the sales business units with due diligence calculationsParticipate in developing concepts and processes across regions to assist in reducing the overall operating costsOperationally address customs handling in the MED regionSupport on customs auditsSupport on transport booking & executionEnsure that relevant stakeholders are kept updated on customs issues and changes to regulations that may have compliance or cost impactsSupport on invoicing and ensure correct P2P applicationReduce P&BCreate local recording of customs & shipping documents related to import/export of each countryProvide accurate reporting as per unit needsCoordinate general freight transportation of site parts and transport equipment for projects in executionMonitor transportation of Site parts and Tools for Service operationOverall guiding the team across multifunctional activities in the assigned clusterQualifications8 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience (within transport and customs in industrial retail, or in the forwarding industry supporting industry retail, or a similar role in customs brokerage services)University-level degree in engineering, technical or commercialsSolid knowledge of North Africa, East Africa and MENA import/export processes and customs requirementsComprehensive understanding of international trade terminology and customs regulation in North Africa, East Africa and MENA regionsExperience in a large international forwarding company, complex industrial projects or customs broker operating in West Europe.
