Job Function:Employment Type: PermanentYinson is a dynamic, equal opportunity employer with great organisational culture where people are valued and empowered to deliver powerful solutions.Job Summary:The Insurance Specialist is responsible to identify and manage the Company's insurance requirements to meet business objectives.To oversee and ensure that the assets of the organization are insured adequately and the relevant liabilities/exposures are monitored and covered appropriately.To facilitate and assist with insurance placements and renewals negotiation, insurance document and premium administration, contract review, claim handling, all other matters concerning insurance generally, and other ad-hoc tasks assigned by line manager.Key Responsibilities:To identify, explore and propose the appropriate insurances to align with the local industry practice for Company's activities in Brazil e.g Offshore Production and Renewables, etc.Insurance placement and renewal negotiations, limits and insurance terms review to ensure that the Company gets the best insurance deal and placed/renewed timely. Such insurances include but not limited to Employee Insurances, Commercial Insurance, D&O, E&O, EAR/IAR, BI, ALOP, MLOP, Liability and etc.To support the team to achieve the best indicative premium for the insurances to be purchased for the potential project to enable the project and financing team to price the budget and financing model appropriately.Work together with the project legal counsel in reviewing the tender documents, due diligence insurance document, contracts and charter parties as well as participate in the relevant meeting to address insurance risk or provide clarifications/solutions in accordance with industry best practices.Provide support towards identify gaps in contractual terms to minimize risk exposures and that contractual obligation pertaining to insurance are met and exceptions are highlighted.To analyze and interpret insurance policies and insurance coverage as necessary.To review the insurance document submitted by the supplier/vendor in Avetta system.To ensure insurance requirement in all contracts are complied by the relevant contracting party.Day to day support to stakeholders, clients, internal depts, subsidiaries & associated companies from an insurance perspective pertaining to existing and new Charters, Projects & Tenders and others insurance matter.Coordinate between insurance company and the HSEQ team to facilitate the loss prevention and emergency response workshop.Premium verification, to ensure timely processing of premium payment to avoid any delay in certificate issuance or policy cancellation.Maintain and monitor premium payment database, to ensure that insurance documentation and premium payment are up-to-date and in good order.Handle claims under various policies when required and ensure reimbursement are received in time.Assist department manager with any insurance programs and special projects as assigned by line manager.Undertake any ad-hoc duties as may be required.Qualifications:LLB (Laws), professional insurance certification or equivalent.Skills & Experiences:Experience in insurance industry, familiar with Brazilian insurance market and fluent in Portuguese and English.Desirable Exposures in O&G and/or Energy insurance.If you want to team up with us as we dream and stride towards a better tomorrow – we would love to hear from you!
