Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for the execution of NR-13 standard scope of all equipment controlled by company's SPIE "Own Service of Equipment Inspection", predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, quality assurance and quality control of subcontractors, and development and improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance plans, in order to ensure and maximize asset reliability, availability, maintainability, safety, and integrity.
Ensure legal compliance, regulatory requirements and keep SPIE certification through integrity management system, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of inspection plans of controlled equipment, organization of NR-13 and SPIE related activities with Equipment Inspector.
Define inspection techniques (conventional and non-conventional) to guarantee the physical integrity of NR-13 standard scope. Implement new inspection technologies, including methodologies, special tests, engineering studies, etc., ensuring the effective application and suitability to the company's expectations.
Analyze the in-service equipment structural integrity through inspections and nondestructive tests, assessment for fitness for service or risk-based inspection to determine if the equipment is fit for continued service.
Contribute to the definition of whether an equipment has or does not have the condition to operate satisfactorily to ensure operational reliability by participating in decisions or developing technical studies and informing the involved parties of the results of inspection reports, repairs, or replacements recommended to restore the physical conditions to satisfactory levels.
Follow up, monitor, and guide all activities of internal and external inspectors in the execution of their activities, so that they act in accordance with SBM's integrity management system.
Sporadic embarks in the operational units might be required for these activities to comply with local requirements.
Prepare, review, and approve inspection records, ensuring that they are conclusive in accordance with the company procedures, standards, integrity management system, legislation, INMETRO ordinances for SPIE attendance.
Approve, control, and manage the inspection technical recommendations related to NR-13 inspections.
Reassess the inspection technical recommendations for NR-13 scope, not carried out by maintenance before the deadline defined by the integrity engineer.
Disclose the inspection results, inspection reports, and inspection program with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Naval Engineering.
CREA
Master's degree or Post-Graduation in a relevant subject to the activities (e.g., Metallurgical/Corrosion) or relevant certification in correlated areas is considered a competitive edge.
4 years of overall experience acting as PHL.
