The IXL (Interlocking) area at Alstom is essential for the development and implementation of signaling systems that ensure the safe and efficient control of railway traffic.
This team is responsible for ensuring the coordinated operation of tracks, signals, and crossings, preventing collisions, and enhancing overall transport safety.
Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business, configure electrical circuits, review technical documentation, deploy/test railroad application software with the guidance of experienced engineers, and much more.
We'll look to you for: Configuring and testing application software logic operations,Designing electrical circuits,Collaborating with senior engineering staff on projects,Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) for hardware design,Diving into railroad equipment requirements,Applying your knowledge of programming languages to practical tasks,Developing clear and accurate technical documentation.All about you: We value passion and attitude over experience.

Ongoing bachelor's degree in: Electrical, Electronic, or Automation Engineering – to be completed by December 2026 or later.Experience or understanding of producing technical documentation in accordance with project requirements, quality processes, and international standards,Familiarity with computer skills, including MS Office,AutoCAD will be a plus,Knowledge of programming languages,Proficiency in Ladder programming will be a plus,Strong teamwork abilities,Portuguese Native/Fluent,English intermediate as a minimum requirement.Spanish language skills will be a plus.Things you'll enjoy: Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
