Summary: The intern will form part of our Vendor Management department and will support and assist our Production teams with their vendor capacity needs. This department is responsible for all vendor management, engagement and certification processes. They manage TransPerfect´s freelance community comprised of thousands of specialists (translators, proofreaders, DTP specialists, copywriters, subject matter experts and more) providing services to our company to assist with the successful delivery of our projects. The intern will be able to learn and develop different skills through a valuable experience in a multicultural and dynamic environment and have the opportunity to see how a translation company works. They will be involved principally in the recruitment and onboarding of new specialists, rate negotiation and maintaining lasting relationships with our vendors. Position responsibilities: Search for new vendors (translators, proofreaders, medical writers, regulatory consultants, etc.): run searches in specific platforms, post jobs, contact candidates, analyze candidates' CVs, etc. Negotiate rates with vendors according to services provided. Set up new vendors in the Vendor Management systems: screen candidates' applications, organize paperwork and document signature collection, add vendors to our company's systems and platforms, update systems and platforms, store vendors' documentation and test files. Assist candidates with the certification process: offer certification tests to candidates, schedule certification tests with candidates, create certification tests in our company's platform, schedule certification tests review, work with Vendor Managers within the team in tests review results analysis and records, keep track of vendors training records, create and maintain dashboards. Ensure vendor information is up to date at all times on our Vendor platform. Essential skills and experience required: Be able to sign an internship (initially we will agree to a 6 month duration but ideally the intern should be willing to extend past that point if all goes well), therefore must be enrolled in an educational institution who can work with NUBE for the internship agreement Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset Studies related to translation, linguistics or similar is highly desirable Demonstrate good knowledge of MS Office plus ability to learn and maintain different platforms Show strong organizational skills with ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines, prioritizing when needed to accomplish requests effectively and efficiently Strong attention to detail, able to process vast amounts of information accurately Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude TransPerfect provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.
