We are seeking a skilled International Logistics Supervisor to support our factory operations in Brazil. This role is essential in managing international logistics operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and optimizing import/export processes for maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in logistics management, customs policy, and HS classification, with a collaborative mindset to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Oversee Logistics Operations: Manage and monitor international logistics for imports and exports. Communicate effectively with shippers, carriers, and customs agents. Track logistics progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery of goods. Ensure Customs Compliance: Stay updated with Brazilian customs policies and ensure adherence to all regulations. Proactively address changes in customs rules to maintain seamless operations. Master HS Classification: Exhibit proficiency in HS code classification, particularly for Chapters 73, 84, and 85. Accurately classify goods to support smooth import processes. Navigate Import Licenses: Efficiently handle applications for various import licenses required by Brazilian customs. Foster Relationships with Customs Authorities: Build positive relationships with customs officials to expedite clearance processes. Regional Customs Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of customs policies in Latin American countries to support broader trade activities. Optimize Import Processes: Understand maritime and air import processes, including cost structures. Accurately forecast and calculate import-related expenses. Leverage Tax Benefits: Stay informed about tax benefits available at ports and airports to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the logistics team to develop and implement innovative solutions. Maintain an open and collaborative attitude to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in International Business, Logistics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations and domestic logistics. Required Skills In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and import/export documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in logistics. Proficiency in office software tools. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
