We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager Sales MICE for one of our clients.
Position Purpose: To maximize revenue from MICE (Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions) segments by driving maximum contribution from all producing segments.
To develop and coordinate various programs and policies related to sales and marketing activities for the MICE segment within the hotel.
Qualifications Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management/Sales Management (a degree in Sales & Marketing is preferred).
Strong knowledge of modern sales and marketing tools and techniques specifically in the MICE segment.
Working knowledge of hotel operations including Front Office Housekeeping and F&B services.
Familiarity with revenue/yield management techniques.
Basic understanding of accounting and financial management principles.
Proficiency in MS Office.
A minimum of 34 years of experience in hotel sales with a focus on the MICE segment.
Responsibilities: Plan and forecast MICE revenue for the hotel from various segments.
Develop systems and procedures that enhance cost efficiency and guest satisfaction specifically within the MICE segment.
Assist in implementing the annual sales and marketing plan using strategic frameworks aligning departmental objectives with the hotels overall strategy.
Support the development of the strategic direction for the MICE segment adopting a comprehensive revenue approach.
Prepare forecasting tools and strategies to visualize market scenarios and develop longrange plans for the MICE segment.
Continuously measure the effectiveness of MICE sales programs and track trends in the local and global marketplace that impact demand.
Build and maintain a robust and accurate database of current and potential MICE clients/accounts.
Maintain uptodate information on competitors performance sales strategies and marketing efforts related to the MICE market.
Propose pricing strategies for MICE services in alignment with the hotels market positioning target customers and desired market mix.
Develop and execute a comprehensive market mix guideline ensuring sales targets within the MICE segment are achieved.
Identify key customer needs through research surveys sales calls and meetings specific to the MICE market.
Implement revenue management techniques to optimize RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) for MICE events.
Coordinate with the Front Office F&B Manager and other departments to ensure seamless of MICE events and services.
Work closely with the Credit Manager on managing credit limits and outstanding payments from MICE clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients event planners and key stakeholders in the MICE industry.
Assist in designing and prioritizing sales and marketing activities to achieve revenue/profit targets in the MICE segment.
Control distribution channels to ensure timely relevant and exciting information about MICE services reaches the intended audience.
Meet or exceed revenue targets set during the budgeting process for the MICE segment.
Stay informed about industry trends changing customer needs and developments in related sectors particularly in the MICE market.
Identify and engage with key communities planning initiatives and coordinating support activities related to MICE.
