We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer (Microsoft/Linux/Virtualization) for our client.

Work Type: Part-time to Full-time remote work from home. Independent contractor's contract position. Long term contract.
Language Requirement: Full professional proficiency in English is obligatory.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure (MS based).
Monitor and troubleshoot virtualization solutions (VMware).
Provide advanced technical support to IT and non-IT users.
Collaborate with the software development team to ensure proper IT resources' allocation planning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Qualifications:
Microsoft Expertise:
Active Directory (AD) and Exchange support, including AD forest migration.
Proficient in directory services (GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS, user profile management).
Experience with Windows Server and End User technology, including Antivirus and patch management.
Skilled in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and maintenance for high availability.
Knowledge of Application Packaging Standards, Desktop Standards, Hardware Imaging, and OS Patches.
Proficient in Exchange (2016+) and Microsoft SQL Server (2008+).
Virtualization:
Experience with VMware Horizon View (7.x+).
Skilled in VMware VSphere and ESXi (6.x+).
Knowledge of VMware applications and physical infrastructure services.
Understanding of Windows Desktop OS design considerations for various devices.
Proficient in diagnosing VDI issues and hypervisor tuning.
Expertise with SAN and VSAN storage.
Linux Skills (Desirable):
Experience with Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat.
Configuring Linux for optimal performance.
Proficient in performance monitoring and tuning.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Other Technologies:
Demonstrated NMS (Zabbix, Kibana, etc.) implementation history.
Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).
Expert backup admin skills using Veeam.
Strong networking knowledge - netmasks, VLANs, ACLs, DHCP, DNS, routing.
Good scripting knowledge is preferred for automation using PowerShell, Ansible, etc.
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft Expert level (or MCSE) certifications.
VCP - VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization certification.
VCP - VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility certification.
Cisco Professional certification - CCNP +.
