Job descriptionAs the IT Network Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing stability and simplifying connectivity to improve the user experience of IT delivered services.The position will have global responsibility, supporting North America, Europe, and additional regions across all Carmeuse locations.Main responsibilitiesYour Responsibilities:As the Network Engineer based in our local HQ, you will be responsible for:Troubleshoot network (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP etc.)
and firewall-related issues while providing excellent customer service according to priorities based on business impact and urgency.Manage the lifecycle of the existing infrastructure to keep it modern and up to date.Automate tasks and come up with improvements to increase efficiency.Collaborate with project managers and technology teams to deliver efficient and quality projects.Work closely with vendors, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.Create technical documentation and review it regularly.Provide guidance to other engineers and share knowledge via technical sharing sessions with the Service Desk.Conduct latency optimization testing identifying breakages and recommend solutions.Support a secured wireless environment.Support datacenter migrations, upgrades, and redesign.Support global HQ, regional, and plants with Cisco and Meraki devices.Requirements and skillsRequirements:Basic requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.Basic understanding of Business Operations (OT) concepts.Advanced understanding of ITSM Framework (ITIL).
