Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a driven and design-minded Software Developer with experience in Java programming and a scripting language (Python, Bash, or Perl), for our Centos/Rocky Linux based Fidelis Network appliances. The ideal candidate has experience writing Java programs and strong SQL skills. As a Software Developer you will: Develop and Enhance Fidelis Security Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain robust network security features and functionalities. Write and maintain scripts to automate processes, enhance system functionality, and streamline workflows. About 90% of the programming for this role is done in Java and SQL and the rest is scripting, mostly in Python, bash, and Perl. Participate in peer code reviews, knowledge sharing, and SCRUM meetings. Work closely with other developers using the Agile software development lifecycle. Required Skills Strong Experience in developing applications using Java, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Experience with MariaDB/SQL including writing complex queries and managing database schemas. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate or equivalents Java frameworks. Good scripting skills in Python, Bash or Perl Comfortable working in a Linux environment, with experience in Linux-based system administration and troubleshooting. MSCS Or BSCS with 5+ years of experience developing and supporting multithreaded applications in a Linux/Unix environment. Bonus Skills Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols Malware detection or cybersecurity experience Working knowledge of GIT version control Experience working on Agile software development projects Familiarity with cloud environments
