Junior Bookkeeper

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial reporting, maintaining fixed asset registers, the accounting function, implementing SOP's and analysis of financial reportsBookkeeping functions all the way to Trial Balance, Financial Accounting & ReportingFinancial reporting: Collate, prepare and interpret reports Review the accounts payable, and accounts receivable records Must understand the Debtor & Creditors function well, in terms of invoicing, statements run, payment requisitions and reconsEnsuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations Audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed Managing budgets and variance analysis Implement internal controls and SOP's Liaising with Head Office DepartmentsREQUIREMENTS:3 Years' experience in a similar role Sound understanding of accounting concepts and a hands-on approach Minimum of 3 years' experience on Sage 50/ Sage 200 or similar system Previous experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, including franchise partnersMust have strong attention to detail and a proven track record Have effective time management, problem solving and decision-making abilities
