Job Description We are seeking to hire a knowledgeable and experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO)for our Sao Paulo Brazil officer to ensure our compliance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and other applicable data protection regulations. The DPO will oversee data protection strategy and implementation, act as the primary point of contact for data protection matters, and foster a culture of privacy across the organization. Your Responsibilities Ensure company compliance with the LGPD and other relevant data protection laws and standards. Develop, implement, and monitor data protection and privacy policies. Respond to requests from data subjects exercising their LGPD rights, including access, correction, deletion, and data portability requests. Provide guidance to employees on LGPD and data privacy-related issues. Serve as the main point of contact for the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD). Conduct regular data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and address potential risks. Identify and mitigate risks associated with data processing activities. Organize privacy training for employees to ensure compliance and awareness of data protection principles. Promote a culture of accountability and privacy by design across the organization Regularly audit and monitor data processing activities to ensure compliance. Document all processing activities and maintain a record of data breaches and corrective actions taken. Work with IT, Legal, HR, and other teams to ensure data protection compliance across all functions. Ensure third-party vendors and partners comply with the company's data protection policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree in Law or relevant field. Experience in data protection and legal compliance, Information Technology, Compliance, or a related field. Good understanding of IT security and data protection technologies. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English.
