Challenge
As a Junior Infrastructure Developer, you will help maintain the product and build fundamental architectural cornerstones that will empower the development team.
What you'll do
- Ensure that all scalable systems remain robust while consistently delivering quick turnaround for an ever-growing stream of requests and millions of hours of content a month.
- Benefit from backend software engineering skills, drawing on knowledge of coding and doing technical designs in high-scale systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to build something with lasting impact.
- Work on a rapidly evolving system loaded with interesting challenges and complex problems.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
- Advanced/fluent English skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience developing in Python and/or C# environments, as well as running Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience in automation frameworks (such as Jenkins), and Infrastructure as Code (such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
Nice-to-have
- Relational database knowledge - developing in the data layer and writing ad-hoc queries.
- Experience with migration and integration to cloud, and cloud infrastructure.
Non-technical skills
- Passion to solve technical challenges, with a strong attention to detail and desire to get to the bottom of how things work, focused on ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- A security-oriented mindset and desire to build robust systems.
- Be able to take action and improve things, based on structured processes, organization, and documentation.
- A love for learning and a desire to grow and to help improve the team around you.
