This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial paralegal or legal operations professional who possesses strong leadership and communication skills and who thrives in a dynamic environment. The Legal Operations Manager will help shape Ivory's legal operations, closely working with Ivory's attorneys and other legal operations professionals, developing standard operating procedures, and leading project management responsibilities for client matters.
Responsibilities
Support Ivory's senior attorneys with the review of commercial agreements, including MSAs,
data license agreements, NDAs, SOWs and amendments, and other general transactional tasks for business clients
Identify key, repeatable processes across Ivory's operations and contribute to improvement and standardization of those processes
Support legal operations tasks for Ivory clients, including conducting and responding to RFPs
Define, implement, and refine effective contract lifecycle management processes and best practices
Develop and maintain playbooks to ensure accurate and consistent use of contract management tools
Review and evaluate AI and other contracting tools and technologies that increase the efficiency of the legal services and operations teams
Evaluate procedures and processes, develop improvement strategies, and draft policies that drive firm efficiency
Requirements
2+ years of counsel experience working in a corporate law firm or in-house legal department
Experience leading projects with demonstrated strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple matters simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail
Advanced understanding of contract terms and conditions
Ability to analyze a contract to see if applicable/desirable terms and conditions have been included, and understand if additional contract language should be included
Familiarity with contract management tools or other database systems and Microsoft applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Must be comfortable working independently and raising concerns or issues with colleagues as needed
Quick learner, able to digest and disseminate large amounts of information
