The .Net Developer has or is developing a basic understanding of a language's syntax and most-used features of the core library. They may have some experience with commonly used 3rd party libraries and with the tooling used to manage and build code bases. Initially, an .Net Developer is expected to be able to implement moderately specified methods or small classes. As they progress, they should be able to implement small sets of related classes and begin to understand why some design decisions were made. Some experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Rider, dotnet CLI. Some experience with code-level design methods/patterns such as Gang of Four, functional programming, and SOLID. Ability to effectively communicate, to their team members, the technical aspects of the code upon which they are working. Actively seeks out and engages in learning/refining technical and inter-personal skills. Have some exposure to cloud tools like AWS and Azure. Familiar with Git source control and best practices around branching, merging and code reviews.
